Which tournament do you think will be most interesting? Perhaps because you can't wait to perform in that mode yourself, perhaps because you're looking forward to the monstrous level on display...simply which one do you look forward to most? :D
To me its extremely hard to pick.... ;D :-X
I could pick TT because I have the best chance to perform well myself there, I could pick MR because of its mix of all that makes SMK great, I could pick Battle for the insane amount of top players in this mode present and I could pick GP because I enjoy getting hit by Yoshi's eggs ::)
Well actually I won't make a decision just yet. :P

Comme l'an passé, je dirais que le MR et le battle généreront une passion et une ferveur populaire fantastiques... néanmoins je garde ma petite préférence pour le MR, de peu ;D

De toute façon, le MR c'est celui qui m'intéresse le plus car c'est celui où je compte aller le plus loin ::)
(bah ouais, j'en ai rien à foutre du battle en fait, si je fais du battle online c'est pour apprendre à mieux maîtriser les objets et tous vous poutrer en MR ::))

I'm a GP150's fan. Even I don't participate, even my skill isn't good, i love GP mode cause you really see how good you are in that game. The new tricks, new technics need to be seen ! And for me it's wonderfull to see the technic i don't master.

There are as many tricks in MR as in GP, perhaps even more because of a more important use of the items than in GP ;)

Well, if I have ANY chance it'll be on TT.
But I'm really looking forward to some Street Fighter II matches.
Some Third Strike matches would be great too.

unfortunately, i guess there isn t any smk player who can play well to sf3.3 , it s a too technical game if we don t practice it :-[
but there is plenty of other fighting games that i wish to play : tmnt5tf, CvS 2, MvsC 2, breakers revenge, karnov revenge, GGXX, ... :D

Unfortunately SF3:Third Strike is the only fighting game I know how to play ;D
I'd get owned too easily on any of those other games.
Marius from Norway is a good SF3 player tough. [dream mode on]Maybe if he goes to the cdm... [dream mode off]

My favourite mode is watching Drew climb the venue and cook a nice dinner from the rubbish bin again :)
Other than that, anything but Battle Mode, it is too random...

Match race is my favourite, because of the combinaison of the driving and the options. Battle mode is very near to MR in my mind ! :D

How exactly do the tournaments work?
Time Trial = one tries, random tracks?
Battle mode = first to get 10 wins?
Match race = first to get 10 wins, random tracks?
GP = normal playoffs, random cup

Time Trial:
Everyone (probably 2 groups) plays one try on a track and it is recorded, then the next track, and next and so on. After X number of tracks a total time is generated with points for everyone to count towards the overall score at end of the tournament. The Top 16 will advance to the next round, for some more one tries and another total to eliminate down to 8, then some more to eliminate more. Eventually it is 4 left. The 2 losers in that round will play for 3rd place, the two winners will be in final for one try (Gold ro Silver Medal).
Match Race:
Split into 2 groups cos of large number. Everyone plays everyone on 4 tracks which are decided and given to everyone before each match with a person. There can be a win / loss/ or draw (4-0, 3-1, 1-3, 0-4, 2-2), and points are assigned for all the matches. Top 16 advance to next round. The higher you are you face the slower player in the next group. So basically 8 from each group go through. 1st plays 8th from the other group, 2nd plays 7th, etc. That round is first to 5 on given tracks. Then there will be quarter final with 8 left, first to 7 wins. Semi-Final is first to 9; losers there play in 3rd place match first to 9, and the finalists first to 11.
Battle Mode:
Exactly same format as match race, except you just do the 4 battle mode courses for the early groups round, as opposed to 4 given match races. (This mode sucks btw ;D )
GP150cc:
Karters split into 2 groups again, and i believe everyone does 1 GP, wth point scores recorded. And again the top 16 selected to the bracket round, like match race and battle.
Do note that, even though if you dont make the top 16 in some modes, you are still reaching points which add to your overall score. But if you do reach the later rounds there is more bonus points also to help.
You will do really well man (try to bring more Brazilians also); just watch out for Harold's Skank Tactiques... and other things... ;D

The other guys from Brazil won't come, that's a fact. They all suck by the way.
About the tournaments, I really wish I go well. But maybe I won't have much time to pratice, so I'll probably get crushed to early, in the group stages.

We'll play a lot of PAL together when you come at home, to help you discover the driving techniques ;)
