He just played one day of SMK and tied arguably the best flap of all. I must note this is done with the double pipejump strat...but still this is magnificent!

A straightboost for me is a boost that is not offroad and build in a corner or straight where boosting would be impossible to do without many zigzags.
It can ruin courses that were traditionally non nbt like BC1.

I have no problem with the technique in itself...for instance on MC1 in the 2nd corner the building of my boost would be as tight as a straightboost on BC1 is. The difference is that this one wins so much more (because it is offroad) and is therefore much more rewarding.

On BC1 the same manoeuvre would win 0.02-0.04 or something (cause it's on-road) $:-\$
The question for me is: is the difference significant enough to make courses like this a zigzagging marathon?

But if people beat one of my WR's with straightboosts I will submit them of course (or use them to try to improve on it in case i have not tried sb's on that course yet)

A massive 11"12 final lap, the rest of the laps was with the usual strat and not nearly as good as the splits in the 58"02 as you can tell by the fact it's only a 0.1 cut!

One more thing: do we need to list MJ's shortcut WR now it's been beaten by a normal lap?
