He jumped around it though so i think that was ok in this case, but yes best to always keep the block there and slide round it, you can go through pretty sharp.
As for the GV3 NBT, I once had an old PR in 2006 or 2007 with a slight zig zag on a lap before the hairpin so it become NBT instead of Non-NBT according to Simon. I kept a slower time of 1'15"4x for Non-NBT until later years. Using a Non-NBT pad helps as Alicia suggested.
Also, Scoub will remember this one -> Panam Circuit 6 on SPK, the hairpin i was doing one zig zag which was natural control, but as this made a forced NBT happen we were told it can't be counted for Non-NBT which was fair enough so I had to retract that record at the time and re-do it.
