Not sure about this new WR (arrived on Twitch too late to watch the WR live, but now enjoying watch Karel endlessly crashing on CI1 ), but Alicia's 11"69 had one.
So I assume there is.

Yeah, that time would be impossible without. The best time I got without the start boost (so as a normal middle lap, comparable to PAL flaps then) is 11"77. Same session

It's because of Christopher Smith* and his project to document the entire history of the MC1 WR evolution. I am really enjoying his efforts to leave absolutely no stone unturned. And talking about those ancient times back when the double pipejump was introduced was a really nice trip down to memory lane. MC1 Non-NBT is SMK in its purest form, I can't disagree with Sami there**.
