After re watching, I also made some critical errors at time (BC2 crashing letting you the opportunity to do the feather, RR not waiting another lap to hit you with the red,lots of driving errors in decisive moments) so I suppose the result is right.

It's because zoomstart easier with a 5th place (or more)?

Yup, and you need all the extra margin you can get, because zoomstarts are just stupidly hard online at times. 
That's a consequence of the SNESOT system, where only wins count (or actually qualifying ahead of your opponent counts, but usually that means a win of course).
