Nice job on the cable ScouB, at least this will mean that the connection will be a lot more stable (but still slow).
Anyway, there would have to be a modem/router as we couldn't have streamed previous editions otherwise (no empty ethernet slots available could be the only problem remaining).
There is a bigger problem though; I am assuming that it's the same connection that we've been using in previous years? This connection is quite
unimpressive and that's an understatement. We had a barely watchable stream last year even at the lowest streaming bitrates. Only people that are hardcore interested in SMK will be able to bear it. Even having it wired will not really fix this.
Come on, we need a 4G connection guys! Neo confirmed earlier that la Suze is covered with 4G, now we just need someone with a subscription in this area. If there is no one and it turns out we need to get a new one from the area
then that's what needs to be done. We can split the costs by like 50 people. Heck, I'll even pay it myself if push comes to shove! How bad can it be? 100 Euro for a year? Well worth the investment for a high quality stream. We just need someone to make the purchase and check the details.
Of course we would need to first verify that la suze 4G is really superior to the venue internet first. I'd say that's a pretty safe bet though.
