Maybe you should just change Player2 to another character, or play as player1 so that Yoshi isn't in that position when lapping the CPUs.

Still the  is so much more damaging when it does hit..but I figure you want a clean run for a speedrun WR anyway, so I should probably remove the character with the highest trolling frequency. This is beyond the merest shadow of a doubt Yoshi.

I agree. A  crash is absolutely devastating, but constantly being trolled by Yoshi is just annoying and wrong. Screw Yoshi...

In the French magazine Nintendo Player overall SMK guide released circa 1994, there was half a page dedicated to the characters specs, and Yoshi was called the "coin sucker". They were already convinced he was always trying to hit you every single corner he was closed to the player.
