I've been looking into trains and from what I can see the only trains from Le Mans to La Suze on Tues 15th Aug are:
12:34 arrives 12:47
17:47 arrives 18:00
Since the 12:34 is too early (no eurostar/train combo can get to Le Mans for that time) and the 17:47 arrives after the scheduled start of the event (schedule says 17:00 opening ceremony) and wouldn't leave any time to go to campsite/hotel etc. before the time trials groups are scheduled to start (18:15). I'm guessing quite a few people will have this issue. Any chance the scheduled start can be pushed back a couple of hours?
This is a good question, I know Flo Valandina was gona speak to Adrien Garreau about this, weren't there more connecting trains before?
Normally from Paris Montparnasse on Tuesdays (like 15th August this year), there was a train leaving at around 13:50 or 13:55, which gets to Le Mans at maybe 14:50 or something. Then we wait one hour and there is the little train from Le Mans to La Suze which i think was 15:50 to 16:10 roughly. For many years we all reached la Suze between 16:00 - 17:00 if that is correct?
Just a note; Me, Leyla and Conor will reach Gare du Nord at 11:17am by Eurostar on the Tuesday 15th. It is the normal times we take i think. But 2 years ago there was a fault on the line, so our train delayed in there about 1.5 hours. Normally this shouldnt happen, but we still made the 13:50pm train at Montparnasse luckily.
Then on the Sunday 20th normally there was at 9:59am train i think which reaches Le Mans at 10:10am, then there was a 10:22am train going back to Montparnasse which we get back at after 11:00am. Then back with the subways to Gare du Nord from there.
Please let us know when you have checked, many thanks.
