I believe the question is clear. I will shortly explain why we want to find this out.
One of the main obstacles for a CDM in the Netherlands is the price of the sleeping arrangements. The organising team has found a cheap hostel (10 per night), but public transport does not go there. It is clear that not nearly enough people are going to come by car to make driving groups of people back and forth to the hostel a good idea. Actually, even with enough cars this is probably a bad idea to begin with. So this poll is
not to find out if you're available for playing taxi.
We came up with a backup plan to make the hostel deal in ter Aar feasible, which is to rent bikes! It's a 20 minute bike ride from the venue. I think it would be really
sympa to have daily bike rides with the group during the CDM!
We're in the country of bikes so why not?! Well, rain, that's why not, but ok.
Of course renting bikes in such big numbers (60 or so?) is problematic, so we need to have an estimate of how many people would need to rent bikes in the first place. Let's say the whole of Plug & Play would come by car (even as a passenger), then we would like to know this. That would for example mean Ours, Banana and Pru are covered and do NOT need a bike (so we're at ~60 minus 3, etc.).
I'm really eager for this hostel deal to work, as I believe it would remove the main obstacle for the CDM 2018 in NL!
