I provide the twitch overlays. On the other hand KVD we agree that Patrick comes with his computer with all the Excel spreadsheets for calculations and pools for the championship. I don't have any of that

It is my understanding that the FFSMK Twitch channel was converted into SMK Champs (and therefore no longer "exists"). We might wanna profit from Jarmou's big Twitch following anyway, even if I also understand that using someone's personal Twitch is not optimal for general purposes.

Yes to the last part. I will talk about this with Patrick soon (which laptop he takes exactly still needs to be sorted out for example). And Lafungo and him will take care of the correct sheets being ready on D-day.

Après je sais pas si on aura installations (le PC) et le bon nombre de carte de capture. Et surtout qui gère la diffusion ? (Patrick)

Mais le gros souci cette année est un problème d'ego ou plus précisément de récupération du championnat pour mettre en avant leur chaines Twitch (en tout cas, je le vois comme ça) alors qu'on devrais unir nos force pour proposé sur la chaine du championnat (FFSMK/IASMK) un beau stream en anglais et français

Yes it's possible, I do it at home or I can capture the signal from two consoles for one on a Twitch channel.
But I don't know if we'll have the facilities (the PC) and the right number of capture cards. And above all, who's going to manage the broadcast?

But the big problem this year is a problem of ego, or more precisely, of using the championship to promote their Twitch channels (at least, that's how I see it) when we should be joining forces to offer a nice stream in English and French on the championship channel (FFSMK/IASMK).

I got very frustrated with the stream situation last year, so this year I don't want to get involved. As far as I'm concerned, I'll be happy if we have at least one stream, and local recordings of as many matches as possible without losing them (including the ones on stream).

That said, a couple comments based on what's been posted in here so far:
- I can confirm that the FFSMK channel was renamed to SMKChampionships. This is the only CDM event channel to my knowledge, and is the one that was used as a secondary stream during the Alphen years (since the main stream had to be on the EGA channel as per our agreement with them).
- I've watched a decent amount of older CDM footage, and even though I understand both languages, dual English/French commentary is always terrible. It has never worked, and I don't think it can ever work well. Wanting both English and French comms for the finals is perfectly fine, but they have to be on separate streams.

I see your point FF. Good to know the signal can be split. I also agree with Lafungo, they have to be separate.

I just assumed Jarmou's stream would be the main French one as she is the only one putting up the effort to promote it all year long (eSports streamer of the year and all that) and bringing comms (Chacha) and bringing a big SMK oriented audience. But maybe my assumption was wrong. I can see how using a personal channel for a public main stream could raise some eyebrows though, it is not the most ethical thing to do (at face value). I think we would be foolish not to use her (or Mario's) viewerships, especially given the huge investments already made. But I feel it is for the Francophones to figure this out amongst themselves, so I will not get involved in this discussion further.

En réaction au post de FF, je dirai juste que j'ai proposé il y a des mois de streamer l'événement en tant que 2e stream (sachant que SMKChampionship est toujours le stream principal avec cette fois-ci les casters anglophones), que j'ai trouvé Chachamaxx pour faire le commentaire, et il a fait un taf de ouf pendant le stream de l'ASMKC pour celleux qui ont suivi, que personne ne s'est opposé à l'époque. J'apprends aujourd'hui que je booste mon ego ou veux me mettre en avant, lol.

Comme d'habitude, personne ne se propose en rien pour la responsabilité de certaines tâches (au fait, vous avez trouvé une maîtresse de cérémonie?  ) et trois semaines avant ça se réveille et ça crache du venin sans proposer de solution.

En réalité les gars moi ça m'arrange de ne pas streamer, pour les mêmes raisons que je ne veux plus faire les annonces au micro. Pour une fois, je vais poser mon cul et regarder les autres s'agiter. Bon courage.

Ok ça marche pour les streams, on va faire Jarmou le français et SMK Champs l’anglais. C’est le plus logique. C’est juste que je ne savais pas que la chaîne FFsMk avait été renommée.

Well it seems the merde has hit the fan 

So here is my two cents.

A wired connection for streaming should allow at least 3 maybe even 4 streams at the above throughput as long as nobody else is allowed to used it.

Next. Jarm0u has an excellent stream and has brought a new following with the Kart toddlers (Formerly Kart babies) So to not stream on that is really short sighted and annoying. Please reconsider.

Je suis desole but combined French and english ne marche pas. A few words here or there is grand but over a long stream it would get confusing and offputting.

I'm 99.9% certain that i will not make it this year. But i will follow on the streams and cheer you all on. I will return in 2024 so please try to not fight stupid battles and just have a great time.

yes French and English at the same time is not possible, it would be a mess. don't worry, we try to get everyone to get along so that there is a good general atmosphere. I hope to see you in 2024 😉

Je pensais que c'était la bataille de qui va stream surtout; mais vu vos réponse. J'ai rien dis
